White & Case’s new report, Coming of agereveals the three key convergence trends that will drive debt markets in the future

Convergence will continue to drive leveraged loan and high-yield bond markets in the coming years, according to White & Case. The law firm’s new report, Coming of age: The changing face of international leveraged debt, suggests that last year’s record issuance levels will increase as the boundaries between markets, investors and high yield debt continue to blur.

“The overall picture is of an increasingly international leveraged finance market,” say Rob Mathews and Lee Cullinane, partners at White & Case. “Investors are seeking yield and diversity both by industry and geography, while borrowers are increasingly looking for a broader range of funding sources and improved terms. Now, it seems, parties on both sides of the equation are beginning to find them.”
