Guido Testa is partner, Office Leader of Orrick’s Italian offices and member of the M&A and Private Equity Group.
Guido's practise focuses mainly on M&A, private equity and venture capital, as well as on corporate law and commercial contracts.
In these areas, he represents primary enterprises, merchant banks, private equity and venture capital funds, as well as family offices, both in domestic and cross-border transactions.
Before joining Orrick, Guido worked as an associate at Studio Legale Carnelutti in Milan from April 1983 to December 1984. From January 1985 to December 1988, primarily he was an associate and then the Italian resident partner at Carnelutti’s London office.
From January 1989 to September 1990, he worked as the Italian resident lawyer for Werbel, McMillin & Carnelutti, a U.S. law firm based in New York City.
From October 1990 to December 1997, he was a partner at Studio Legale Carnelutti in Milan. From January 1998 to December 2008, he was a partner at Vita Samory, Fabbrini e Associati, an Italian law firm based in Milan.

Pedro is a co-founder partner of ActiveCap. He has 20 years of experience in asset management, specialized in Portuguese corporates and SMEs.
Previously he was executive member of the Board of Directors of BCP Capital (Millennium BCP Group), where he was responsible for the investment team. Before that he was a director at F&C Asset Management UK (London) and at F&C Portugal (Lisbon).
He has an MBA from Universidade Católica and a BA in Economics from Lusíada University, as well as a Private Equity executive course from London Business School.

Christopher is M&A Director and Staffer at Arcano Partners. He has developed a large part of his professional career advising companies in the Tourism, Hospitality, Leisure, Retail and Education sectors. He previously worked as Senior Manager at Deloitte Corporate Finance and acted as Vice President at Caixa Banco de Investimento, as Supervisor at the Valuation department of the financial advisory arm of AON and as Senior at the Transaction Services department of EY. Christopher is Graduated in Business Administration at Universidad San Pablo CEU and European Business School of London and Master in Finance from EUDE Business School and Master in Project Finance by Structuralia.
Rupert Cocke has been the Acuris Spanish bureau chief since 2005. He splits the week between Madrid and Barcelona. Rupert has more than 20 years of experience as a financial news reporter. He began to specialize in Spanish M&A in 2002 when he joined the group as a senior reporter in London. He previously worked with Dow Jones Newswires in London and Madrid, where his work was regularly featured in the Wall Street Journal Europe. He has a Philosophy degree from the University of Leeds. As bureau chief, he studied for an MA in Media Management Practice from Bournemouth University's Centre for Excellence in Media Practice in his spare time, successfully completing this degree in 2015.

Based in Madrid, Alvaro Ortega is the Country Manager of Datasite for Spain and Italy. Alvaro joined Datasite 10 years ago and has contributed to the development of Datasite’s global expansion within Southern Europe, assisting investment banks, law firms, private equity and corporate clients in over 1000+ virtual data room projects across multiple sectors.
Before joining Datasite, he previously led Bloomberg’s data solutions team in London, covering trading solutions to tier-1 investment banks globally.
Alvaro holds a BA in Finance and International Studies from Bryant University (RI, USA) and Kansai Gaidai University (Osaka, Japan), and an MBA from ESADE Business School in Barcelona.
