John is a Partner of LMP and a member of its Investment Committee and its Management Committee. John joined the Firm in 2008. Prior to joining LMP, John was a Principal at SV Investment Partners (formerly Schroder Ventures US), a private equity firm focused on investing in mid-market business services companies. Prior to SV Investment Partners, he worked as an Associate at J.W. Childs Associates. John started his career in the financial services industry at Salomon Brothers Inc in the Mergers and Acquisitions group. He is a member of the Boards of Directors of Seaside National Bank & Trust, Commercial Credit Inc., LSQ Group Holding LLC, and Currency Capital, LLC. Prior board positions include ALPS Holdings Inc., Mercer Advisors Inc., and PlanMember Financial Corporation. John earned a B.A. degree in English from the University of California, Los Angeles, and an M.B.A. degree and Masters degree in Manufacturing Systems Engineering from Stanford University.
Tom Davidson is Editor for Acuris Studios, the sponsored events and publications division of Acuris. He focuses on event content and special features. Tom joined Creditflux in 2005 he moved to New York in 2012 to setup the Creditflux US office. After Creditflux was acquired by Acuris Global, he moved the Studios team. He graduated from Cambridge University with an MSci in Natural Sciences.
Michael is global chairman of the Financial Institutions Group within the Investment Banking Division (IBD). He is also a senior coverage banker across all sectors in Financial Institutions. Michael is co-head of the Investment Banking Services Leadership Group; co-chair of the IBD Client and Business Standards Committee; and member of the IBD Executive Committee. Michael joined Goldman Sachs in 1992 in New York. From 2002 to 2005, he was based in London and was head of the European Financial Institutions Group. Michael was named managing director in 1998 and partner in 2000. Prior to joining the firm, Michael worked at Salomon Brothers. Michael is vice chairman and a member of the Board of Trustees for the Hospital for Special Surgery. He is also a member of the Board of Trustees of the Inner-City Scholarship Fund. Michael earned an MBA from Harvard. University and a BA from Brown University.
Wesley Fox is a Managing Director in the investment banking department at Keefe, Bruyette & Woods (KBW) where he focuses on the insurance and asset/wealth management sectors. Mr. Fox’s transaction experience spans merger and acquisition, public and private debt and equity capital raising, and general strategic advisory assignments. He has been with KBW since 2004 and is the lead point of contact for the firm’s investment banking activity in the insurance distribution, asset management and wealth management sectors. Mr. Fox received his B.A., cum laude, in Economics from Williams College.
David B. Maryles is a Managing Director in BlackRock's Legal and Compliance Group. Mr. Maryles is global head of investments and transactions within Legal. He oversees a global team responsible for portfolio investments and transactions across equity, fixed income and alternative investment teams in all regions. He is also responsible for global strategic investments and transactions. Prior to joining BlackRock in 2007, Mr. Maryles worked at O'Melveny & Myers LLP (formerly O'Sullivan LLP), for seven years. From 1996 to 1997, he was an auditor in the financial services group at Price Waterhouse LLP.Mr. Maryles earned a BS degree, with honors, in accounting from CUNY-Brooklyn College in 1996, and received his JD degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 2000. He was admitted to the New York State Bar in 2001.
Gil Mermelstein, a Senior Managing Director of West Monroe and a member of the firm’s Executive Committee and Board of Directors, is responsible for developing and expanding the firm’s presence in New York City and the East Coast. He also leads the firm’s Financial Services practice nationally. Gil has 25 years of experience in the consulting and financial services industry, delivering forward-looking business strategies that utilize technology innovation and other leading practices to create business advantages.
Mr. Muhtadie is a Principal of Stone Point. Prior to joining Stone Point, Mr. Muhtadie worked at Credit Suisse First Boston as an analyst in the Financial Institutions Investment Banking Group and as a financial analyst at Aon Capital Markets. Mr. Muhtadie currently serves on the boards of directors of Focus Financial LLC, LegalShield Corp., Greenspoint Capital LLC, Kestra Financial Holdings GP LLC, Newport Holdings, and SKY Harbor Capital Holdings LLC. Mr. Muhtadie is a graduate of The Ohio State University and holds a Master of Business Administration from the Columbia University Graduate School of Business.
Matt O'Brien is content editor for Remark, the sponsored events and publications division of Acuris, overseeing the research and editorial input for events. Ernest S. Wechsler counsels strategic businesses and private equity and hedge funds in mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, minority investments, and corporate restructurings, as well as in general corporate matters. Mr. Wechsler advises companies in a range of industries, including financial, technology and manufacturing. He received his J.D. from Columbia Law School and graduated, magna cum laude, from University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School with a B.S. degree.
