Andreas Weigelt, 1981, has over ten years of experience in the development and implementation of value enhancement programs, portfolio strategies, organizational restructurings as well as market strategies and sales.
Before joining VERAISON Andreas served as General Manager of EgoKiefer, member of the divisional management board of the Arbonia Windows division and Head of Strategic Planning and M&A of Arbonia Group. Prior to that, Andreas was a Principal at the Boston Consulting Group (BCG). In this role, he led multiple transformation projects and strategic initiatives, focusing especially on industrial and consumer goods companies.
Andreas holds a Master’s degree in Strategy and International Management from the University of St. Gallen and a MBA from the Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. He is married and father of two daughters.
Jens holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of Eichstaett-Ingolstadt and has an MSc from the University of Durham in International and Corporate Finance.
Jens joined Permira Debt Mangers in March 2015. His primary focus is on investment opportunities across sectors within Permira Debt Managers.
Previously, Jens worked for Citigroup in the Leveraged Finance team for 2 years. Prior to that he spend 3 years within Citigroup’s Swiss country coverage team focusing on High Yield and IPO opportunities.

As a corporate-internal consultant within Siemens from 1999 until 2002 I supported the post-merger integration of Westinghouse Power Corporation.
As a staff member of the CDU/CSU Parliamentary Group in the Bundestag from 1995 until 1999 I advised its leadership on the relations between the United States and Germany.

Markus Hunold (London) joined KKR in 2013 and is a Director of KKR, focusing on the Special Situations funds and portfolios. Prior to joining KKR, Mr. Hunold was a member of the principal investment area of Goldman, Sachs & Co., where he invested across industries in private equity and principal debt transactions. Mr. Hunold started his career in finance at Citigroup in the mergers & acquisitions group. Mr. Hunold graduated from the European Business School Oestrich-Winkel (Germany) and the University of Hong Kong.
Dr Michael Petersen is co-founder and managing partner of Cross Equity Partners AG, a Swiss private equity firm with the mission to support the sustainable development of mid-sized companies in Switzerland, Germany and Austria through equity capital, industrial expertise and an extensive relationship network – amongst others in the context of succession of family-owned businesses and corporate spin-offs. Before that, he was co-founder and managing partner of 3i Switzerland AG, a national affiliate of the international Private Equity group 3i plc.
Prior to his activities in these two Private Equity companies, Michael Petersen was working in the corporate finance/investment banking arena for several years, amongst others as member of the executive management of an international mergers & acquisitions company.
He has degrees in business administration from the Universities of Hamburg and St.Gallen. He is married and has three children.
Magnus, a German Rechtsanwalt, tax advisor and certified tax lawyer (Steuerberater, Fachanwalt für Steuerrecht), has broad experience in national and international tax matters. His key practice area is Tax Dispute Resolution. He represents clients across business sectors, predominantly financial institutions, with regard to disputed tax positions, both vis-à-vis tax authorities and criminal prosecution authorities in case of criminal law implications.
Ms. Helfer is a Partner of Cevian Capital and heads Cevian’s Swiss Office. She joined Cevian in 2008 and is a senior member of Cevian’s pan-European investment team.
Ms. Helfer is currently on the Supervisory Board of thyssenkrupp AG, a German-based industrial conglomerate with leading positions in the areas of elevators, steel, automotive, and plant technology. She is also a non-executive member of the Board of Directors of Vesuvius plc, a global leader in molten metal flow engineering and technology listed on the London Stock Exchange.
From 2013 to 2017, Ms. Helfer served on the Board of Directors and the Audit Committee of Valmet Oyi, a Finnish engineering company listed on the Helsinki Stock Exchange. Prior to joining Cevian, she was an Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Company, where she worked from 2004 to 2008.
Ms. Helfer holds a M.Sc. in Real Estate Development from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a Dipl.Ing. (M.Sc. equiv.) in Urban Planning from Vienna University of Technology. She is a CFA charterholder.
Ralph Betz joined EQT Partners in 2014 and is a Managing Director in EQT's Credit Team.
Prior to joining EQT Partners, Ralph was previously Head of Acquisition Finance Germany at GE Corporate Finance Bank SAS and Bank of Ireland. Ralph has more than 17 years of transaction experience in European Leveraged Finance across a wide range of industries and an extensive network within the private equity, M&A and banking community.
He graduated from Frankfurt School of Finance & Management with a degree in Business & Finance.
Marc Brugger is serving as Managing Partner of LFPE S.A. in Geneva (Switzerland), part of LFPI Group. LFPI Group is an independent manager of alternative assets with approximately EUR 4.0bn assets under management.
Marc is heading the Private Equity Fund and Direct Private Equity Co-Investment operations of LFPI Group, focusing on small and midcap target companies all over Europe and Northern America. He is also in charge of the Group’s Mezzanine and Private Debt activities in the DACH region.
Marc graduated from Baden Württemberg Co-operative State University and has 20 years experience in all types of unlisted investments. Before joining LFPI Group in 2006, Marc was Vice President at KfW in Frankfurt and co-led the Bank's private equity investment activity. As Managing Director of LFPI Group in Geneva (Switzerland), Marc heads Private Equity investments in Europe and North America (primaries, secondaries, co-investments and fund investments) with a focus on the small and midcap markets. Marc also heads the team in charge of LFPI's Private Debt activities in German-speaking countries. Marc is a member of several Advisory Boards in private equity funds as well as several portfolio companies across 14 countries in Europe. He is head of the LFPE teams in Geneva and Frankfurt.
Philip is managing UniCredit’s Automotive M&A Advisory Team. He began his professional career in 1994 with Bayerische Vereinsbank AG. Prior to joining UniCredit’s M&A Advisory Team he held several positions within Retail Banking, as well as Corporate Banking divisions.
Besides his focus on the automotive sector, Philip has a broad experience in advising German "Mittelstand" on sell and buy side transactions.
Philip has a degree in Business Administration from Frankfurt School of Finance & Management and is a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) from the IACVA-Germany e.V.
Based in Frankfurt, Michael Mueller is the Head of Investment Banking for Germany, Austria & Switzerland of China International Capital Corporation Limited (CICC), China's oldest joint-venture investment bank.
Michael has 20 years investment banking experience with a focus on advising clients on cross border transactions between German speaking countries and Asia having been involved in some of the most complex transactions.
Prior to joining CICC, he was with the oldest German family-owned bank Metzler and prior to this heading the German speaking investment banking of Japanese Nomura. He started his career with Citigroup.
As managing director of Serafin, Martin is responsible for the M&A activity of the Group. Before becoming managing director, he led numerous acquisition projects in recent years at Serafin.
Prior to joining Serafin in 2014, he spent seven years at a pan-European investor. Martin graduated from Maastricht University with a Master of Science degree in International Business Studies.
Amy ZHENG, currently serves as deputy division chief of M&A in China Reinsurance Group, covering cross-border M&A and strategic investment. Prior to that, Ms. Zheng was senior investment director of Hainan Airline, in charge of overseas investments. Prior to that, Ms. Zheng held Vice President in CalPERS alternatives investment and China Construction Bank International principle investment in Hong Kong. Ms. Zheng is a CAIA holder.
Viviana joined Astorg in 2018 and is a member of the Corporate Functions Team.
Before that she worked as Global Sustainability Manager at Barco and as European Environmental Manager at Sony Electronics. Viviana has an expertise in circular economy, eco-design and supply chain sustainability.
Viviana studied Sustainable Development at Imperial College London, she has a master in Environmental Technology from Oxford Brookes and an MBA from Vlerick Business School.
Inna Gehrt has been active in the Private Equity and Corporate Finance environment for about 15 years. She has a successful track record of deal making, value creation, and experience in mid-market deals. Before joining Mandarin Capital, Inna worked as an Independent Advisor for the Jacobs Holding AG, the family office of the Jacobs, one of the largest family offices in Switzerland. Prior to this, Inna had worked almost ten years at Quadriga Capital, a well-reputed Midcap PE Investor in Germany. At Quadriga she was involved in number of transactions and portfolio mandates, i.a. IBIS acam Group, Lapp Insulators and Essmann Group. Inna has a CFO/corporate finance background holding an MBA in Economics from the University of Mannheim. Prior stages of her career include jobs with Hubert Burda Media in Moscow, PWC in Frankfurt/Moscow] and LEK Consulting in London/Munich.
Roxana Mirica is a Principal and head of Capital Markets in Europe. She joined Apax Partners in 2017 and is currently based in London. She has worked on financing for Vyaire Medical, Exact, Azelis, Safetykleen and ThoughtWorks.
Prior to joining Apax Partners, Roxana was a Director in Barclays’ Leveraged Finance team, where she worked on sub-investment grade financing transactions globally.
Roxana holds a BA in Economics and Chemistry cum laude from Dartmouth College.
Pankaj Khanna has managed the M&A activities of Siemens Mobility (> 8 billion euros revenues) since 2012. Together with his team he handles global acquisitions, divestments, JVs, minority holdings and venture capital investments from strategy through the transaction phase and all the way up to post-merger integration. He started his professional career in management consulting before he took over various operative commercial management (CFO) positions in the industry and infrastructure business of the Siemens Group.
Khanna studied economics and business administration on a scholarship from the Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes (German National Academic Foundation) in Germany and in the UK and earned an M.B.A. in the USA.
Andreas Bösenberg has been active in the international private equity industry for more than 20 years. He started his career at 3i. Since 2000 he was responsible for leading and setting up various private equity investment teams in the small-mid market segment and was jointly responsible for over Euro 2bn of invested capital in Europe. Also, he successfully assisted many portfolio companies during their transformation and growth phase and exited several of them in international IPOs and trade sales. In May 2018 Andreas was appointed as managing director of NORD Holding an asset manager with over 2bn Euro of AUM where he focuses on transformational investments in the German speaking region with a sector specific sourcing approach.
Steve joined PwC in the UK in 1993, and qualified as an ACA in 1996. He joined the Transaction Services team in January 1997 and has worked exclusively within the M&A field since that date.
Having primarily worked on cross border transactions during his time in the UK, he transferred to the Frankfurt office in July 2001 where he has focused upon serving the private equity market and was promoted to partner in July 2005.With a wide exposure to various industries advising on both the buy-side and sell-side, Steve has significant experience in large cross border deals for private equity and corporate clients.Since 2012 Steve leads the PwC Private Equity Practice for PwC Germany and is a member of the PwC Global Private Equity Board.
Hartmut Krause is a partner of Allen & Overy based in Frankfurt and is qualified as a German attorney and civil law notary.
He has more than 20 years’ experience in public and private M&A, corporate and capital markets law and a strong track record in various industries. Admitted to practise as German Rechtsanwalt, Civil Law Notary and New York Attorney-at-law, he advises on public tender offers, corporate acquisitions and disposals, auction sales, LBOs/MBOs, public-to-private transactions, post-takeover integration, joint ventures, corporate reorganisations, boardroom and other strategic matters. The bulk of his work is cross-border in nature and involves the co-ordination of multi-jurisdictional teams.
He is ranked one of Germany’s top 20 senior M&A lawyers in the JUVE handbook on business law firms in Germany.
In the market, Hartmut is recognized as an expert on public takeovers. His most recent experience includes advising ISRA VISION as target on the EUR 1.1bn takeover by Atlas Copco, and further roles on bids made for Scout24 and Osram.
Volker is a Partner at Amadeus Capital Partners having joined in 2018. His current investment focus is on artificial intelligence & machine learning, human-machine interfaces, enterprise SaaS, autonomous systems, digital health and medical technologies.
Volker is an entrepreneur who has founded and co-founded seven companies to date. He is currently a co-founder of Blue Beck, a mobile development house, and a Venture Partner at Emerge Education, the EdTech accelerator programme. He is also co-founder of Tech North Advocates, championing the case for technology in the North of England. As an angel investor, Volker was amongst the first investors in companies including Pi-Top, Wonde and Bibblio (where he is now Chairman).
Previously, Volker was Chief Strategy Officer at Scoreloop, a mobile social gaming platform, which he helped grow to 450m users at its peak. After its acquisition by BlackBerry in 2011, he served as BlackBerry’s Global Head of Business Development – Games, responsible for launching the gaming proposition for its BlackBerry 10 platform.
Volker started his career as a corporate lawyer with Luther in Hamburg. He left private practice to work with one of the world’s first mobile technology incubators in 2000 and, over the next ten years, helped launch some of the earliest services and applications in the mobile space.
Volker studied law at the universities of Tübingen and Hamburg and is a member of the German bar. He has extensive board experience with companies in the UK, the US, Germany, Israel, Malta and Poland.
Volker lives in Macclesfield, Cheshire, and is married with two children.
Patrick, is a Senior Tax Underwriter in AIG’s M&A group and focuses on contingent tax risk policies.
Prior to joining AIG, Patrick worked in private practice for Norton Rose Fulbright in Germany where he focused on M&A tax and tax structuring for multinational corporations and private equity investors. Patrick is a German lawyer, tax advisor and certified tax lawyer (Steuerberater, Fachanwalt für Steuerrecht).
Alexander is a full-time Venture Partner. He is located in Munich and is responsible for both new investments and portfolio management. Before joining Cipio Partners in 2018, Alexander has co-founded windeln.de SE, grew the business as its CEO to more than €200 million revenues and took the company public at the Frankfurt stock exchange. Previously, he worked for Siemens AG in various management roles and, before that, was a co-founder of 12snap AG. He started his career in management consulting at A.T.Kearney.
Alexander holds a Master of Science from Stanford University and a Diploma in Industrial Engineering from TH Karlsruhe, Germany.
Nicole Maares joined Deutsche Börse in 2005. Nicole is responsible for listed and non-listed companies in her function as Key Account Manager. Before Nicole was Head of Marketing for Deutsche Börse Cash Market and developed the brand presence and promotion of products and services. In this role she accompanied the launch of the listing segment Scale, bond segments and the growth initiative Deutsche Börse Venture Network.
Prior to Deutsche Börse Nicole started her career within Unilever and worked for Dresdner Bank and Boots, were she focused on Marketing and Sales. Nicole holds a Dipl. Kfm. degree in business administration from the University of Frankfurt.
Alessandra leads the editorial teams of Mergermarket, Dealreporter and Activistmonitor for public markets coverage across EMEA. Based in London, Alessandra is also focusing in identifying new content sets within the public markets. She has over 15 years of experience in financial journalism having covered large scale of M&A deals.
Alessandra joined Acuris in 2004 as a research analyst. Since then she has worked on both Mergermarket and Dealreporter editorial teams, first as Head of Italian coverage, then Deputy Editor and Editor of Dealreporter. Alessandra previously worked as a training lawyer for a Milan-based law firm.
She holds a degree in law from the Catholic University of Milan.
Oscar joined Debtwire in 2019 after working for sister publication Unquote in 2017 as a reporter, focusing on the private equity market in the DACH region. He previously worked for Creditflux as a researcher, focusing on the CLO market.
Oscar graduated from the University of Kent with a Master's degree in political theory in 2015 and spent a year at the Freie Universität in Berlin as part of his undergraduate programme.

Catherine Ford is the Editor-at-Large for the events division of Acuris. She is a consultant editor to event programmes, and engaged in the development of timely editorial content for global corporate finance, M&A and capital markets related conferences and events. She routinely moderates discussion panels at conferences across the region. She has worked for Acuris since early 2002, holding a number of senior editorial roles in the company’s European, US and Asia-Pacific head offices.
Julie-Annais an accomplished journalist who has worked for BBC radio and television, SkyNews, Mergermarket and Dealreporter.
She has recently established her own podcast production consultancy, producing and presenting branded podcasts for corporate clients, including npower. Alongside her podcast work, she is a regular conference chair and panel moderator.
