We have released 4 charts to summarise year-to-date M&A activity in Saudi Arabia ahead of the Saudi Arabian M&A and Capital Markets Forum hosted by Mergermarket on 9th September.

1. Saudi Arabian M&A has reached its joint-highest YTD deal count on Mergermarket record, with 17 deals announced in the year so far



2. The uptick has led Saudi Arabia to account for 21.5% of deals targeting MENA in 2019, the second highest deal count on record, only behind 2011 (21.6%)


3. Domestic activity represents 59% of Saudi Arabian M&A in 2019, the highest share since 2007


4. European investors have become increasingly active in Saudi Arabia in 2019, reaching the joint-second highest YTD deal count on record
