Nick is the IP Advisory Leader and responsible of Business Development in the Deals Area in Italy from 2013.

Massimo Benedetti is the Deals leader in PwC Italy. He has been involved in numerous Italian and cross border transactions in a variety of industrial sectors after gaining international experience through a secondment in the Minneapolis and San Jose offices of USA.
Some of his largest projects included the restructuring of the combined group in connection with the acquisition of Pirelli by ChemChina, the disposal of the cable business of Pirelli, the disposal of Rinascente, the acquisition of AOL Germany by Telecom Italia, the support to Swisscom in the acquisition of Fastweb, the acquisition of Metroweb by Stirling Square, the acquisition of Socotherm by Shawcor, the disposal of Kamps Gmbh and Lieken AG by Barilla, the disposal of EON’s Italian assets.
Massimo is a certified chartered accountant (Dottore Commercialista) and a certified auditor (Revisore Contabile) in Italy.

Massimiliano Caraffa is a Private Equity professional with 17 years’ work experience in Private Equity and Management Consulting matured in top-tier global companies.
Mr Caraffa is a Director of Carlyle European Buyout team based in Milan, and is responsible for deal origination, execution, portfolio management and realizations in the Consumer & Retail sector across Europe.
Mr Caraffa is actively involved in Carlyle’s current investments in Design Holding (Furniture/Design); Golden Goose (Fashion/ retail); Hunkemoller (Fashion/Retail); Twinset Milano (Fashion/Retail); Comdata (Business Services), Irca (Industrial food) and Marelli Motori (Industrial), in each of those he is also a member of the Board of Directors. Moreover, Mr. Caraffa e has been involved in Moncler (Fashion/Retail) and Sematic (Industrial) where he served on the Board of Directors respectively from 2008 to 2011 and from 2015 to 2016 and participated in the portfolio management and exit of Avio spa (Aerospace and Defense).

Giorgio is Senior Managing Director at CVC and is based in Milan. Prior to joining CVC in 2005, he worked for over four years in the Mergers and Acquisitions team at Morgan Stanley. Giuseppe has been working in the Venture Capital and Private Equity industry for more than 18 years. Stefano Ferraresi joined BC Partners in Milan in 2002 and relocated to London in 2009. Previously, Stefano spent two years at Merrill Lynch in London in the European leveraged finance division. Prior to this, he was part of the European high yield origination team at Barclays Capital. He holds a degree in business administration from Bocconi University in Milan. Based in Madrid, she previously led AIG M&A Insurance Group business in different areas and countries within EMEA, and contributed to the development of the M&A Insurance market in LATAM. She has particular expertise in Southern Europe M&A markets, including private equity, financial investors and corporations activity as well as real estate transactions.

Emanuela joined PwC Transaction Services in 2001 and is partner since 2010.
Emanuela dedicates most of her time to private equity houses and has led numerous buy side and sell-side engagements for pan-European and Italian private equity houses, covering various industry segments. Since 2015 Emanuela is responsible of the Italian Deals Retail & Consumer team.
Prior to joining PwC, Emanuela spent 5 years working in a primary audit firm. Emanuela graduated in Economics from the Ca’ Foscari University of Venice and is an Italian Chartered Auditor.
Mr. Pichler is Co-Head Corporate Finance Italy and Managing Director of Leonardo & Co., a joint venture with Houlihan Lokey in Italy, which provides corporate finance, financial restructuring and other strategic advisory services. He has advised numerous European companies across a wide range of industry verticals on M&A transactions, IPOs, complex equity and debt capital raises, and financial restructurings.
Prior to Leonardo & Co., Mr. Pichler spent six years at Lazard Frères, first with the TMT group in Milan and then with the M&A division in Paris, and before that, two years in Arthur Andersen’s Corporate Finance division.

Marianna Vintiadis is Kroll’s Head of Southern Europe. A Cambridge-trained economist with experience in policy making and analysis, she works on business intelligence and complex investigations. Marianna has successfully developed Kroll’s client base which today includes Italy’s largest corporations and financial institutions as well as its leading law firms. She has also opened Kroll’s services to the Italian SME market, which forms the backbone of the Italian economy. Marianna is currently working on the development of the cyber market in Southern Europe.

Emilio Zito is the Head of M&A at EDF Energy, based in London. He joined the UK company in 2011 and since he led, structured and executed a wide range of greenfield and brownfield transactions across the energy chain and related infrastructure.
Emilio started his career as an investment banker in London 14 years ago, covering natural resources, energy and power sectors. In 2008, Emilio joined the EDF Group's M&A & Investment team in Paris where he worked for more than three years on several French and cross-border transactions.
Originally from Milan, Emilio holds a MSc in General Management and in Business Administration from Milan Bocconi University and HEC Paris, respectively. He also graduated from the University of California San Diego where he gained a Graduate Certificate in Corporate Finance.
Emilio is an Italian native speaker, speaks fluent English and French, and basic Chinese Mandarin.
