CloseNew survey highlights private equity trends in Europe.
Limited targets at attractive valuations is the biggest challenge facing private equity investors in Europe, PwC’s Steve Roberts told attendees at Mergermarket’s Germany Forum 2019.
His comments came in a fireside chat about the key findings of the latest PwC Private Equity Trend Report, a survey of 250 European private equity professionals, that was the subject of discussion at the event.

According to the survey findings, nearly three-quarters (72%) of respondents point to a scarcity of investment opportunities over the next five years as one of the main issues that GPs must contend with.
“While there is unlikely to be a shortage of companies to acquire, the real question is whether there will be enough investable companies, at fair valuations, to absorb the record level of dry powder that exists in the system,” the report states.
