Kelly is a Board Director of Fusion Acquisition Corporation, a special purpose acquisition company that is listed on the New York Stock Exchange (FUSE.U). Fusion Acquisition was formed to unlock shareholder value by identifying an acquisition target in the fintech or asset and wealth management sectors.
Kelly is a successful asset management executive with international board experience, fiduciary expertise, and a proven track record of driving cross-enterprise transformation initiatives. She spent more than 30 years at State Street where she was most recently a Senior Vice President in Global Services. Her previous leadership roles at SSGA included Head of Public Policy and Governance, Head of Asia ex-Japan, and building and leading the fiduciary business. She is currently a principal of Fiduciary Resolutions, a fiduciary advisory and consulting firm.
Kelly holds an LLM in Banking Law from Boston University School of Law, a JD from Suffolk University Law School, and a BA from Catholic University of America.
BRIAN KABOT has over 20 years of principal investing experience on Wall Street. Mr. Kabot began his career at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette as an analyst in their Merchant Banking Partners group. He later worked directly for Dan Lufkin at Questor Management Company where he focused on acquiring distressed and bankrupt companies in the industrials, materials and energy sectors. At Questor, Mr. Kabot was a member of the team that led the distressed debt for control transaction for GenTek (Ticker: GETI), an industrial conglomerate servicing the automotive, appliance and electronics, and general industrial industries. After 5 years in private equity and distressed investing, he joined Reservoir Capital working on their direct public efforts. He later ran the industrials, materials, and energy vertical for Sun Capital Partners' cross cap structure/activist hedge fund. At Sun Capital, Mr. Kabot led the distressed debt for control transaction for Accuride (Ticker: ACW), a manufacturing company servicing the medium and heavy duty commercial vehicle market.
In 2011, Mr. Kabot became a Founding Partner of Riverloft Capital, a cross cap structure, event-driven hedge fund where he managed the industrials, materials, and energy portfolio, and led fundraising efforts for the Fund through 2016. After Riverloft, Mr. Kabot helped launch Eschaton Opportunities Fund, a deep value oriented hedge fund where he oversaw all research efforts, while also managing the industrials, materials, and energy portfolio.
In July 2017, Mr. Kabot Stable Road Capital as their Chief Investment Officer. Stable Road Capital is a Los Angeles based single family office that focuses on acquiring and investing in high quality operating businesses, assets and funds. Stable Road Capital runs an opportunistic mandate, investing across the capital structure on both a direct and indirect basis.
Christian Nagler is a corporate partner in the New York office of Kirkland & Ells LLP. He is a member of Kirkland’s Capital Markets Practice Group and lead for the Firm’s Special Purpose Acquisition Company (SPAC) practice. Christian represents issuers, private equity sponsors, and underwriters in a broad range of securities transactions including registered offerings, Rule 144A and Regulation S offerings, consent solicitations, acquisition financing, and tender and exchange offers involving convertible securities, trust preferred securities, investment grade and high yield debt, subordinated debt and equity derivatives and securities in acquisition and other financings. Christian also represents companies and funds with respect to SEC reporting and compliance, including Section 13 and Section 16 obligations, corporate governance issues, and disclosure obligations. Christian has been as a leading Securities/Capital Markets lawyer in the 2009 to 2021 editions of The Best Lawyers in America© and in the capital markets section of the 2019 and 2020 editions of IFLR 1000. He has also been recognized annually in The Legal 500 U.S. for his work in Capital Markets since 2010.
Tom heads Mergermarket and Dealreporter’s editorial operations across the Americas, overseeing the products’
combined team of over 50 reporters across the region that specialize in M&A and capital markets coverage. As well
as managing regional editors and hiring key staff, Tom is responsible for identifying new coverage areas. Before
becoming Managing Editor for the Americas in 2015, Tom was Managing Editor of the Asia-Pacific region. In 2012
he notably launched the successful ECM product. Prior to joining the Mergermarket Group, Tom wrote on capital
markets and private equity for a legal media organization in London. Tom holds a BA from Manchester University
